I had to keep back the tears. He fought until he couldn’t anymore. He might not be able to jump again without seriously injuring himself. It was just heartbreaking to see a champion leave the rink like that. I’m glad he was able to leave with a gold medal though, but it’s still the saddest moment of this Olympics.
