Movie Club: SOLAR MAMAS

Solar Mama’s tells the incredible story of Rafea, Jordan’s first female solar engineer. She was chosen to attend Barefoot College, the NGO programme teaching rural often illiterate women to be engineers and use their new skills to better their communities. 

I watched it with my mum, it was really inspiring, lots of heartbreak, laughs and tears.
